What level of training is available to teachers through the inset day programme on additional learning needs?
Answered by Minister for Education and the Welsh Language | Answered on 06/11/2023
The Welsh Government expects schools to use the equivalent of four INSET days to address national priorities to implement Curriculum for Wales, Additional Learning Needs (ALN) reforms, equity in education and Cymraeg. Schools should enable all staff to engage with professional learning to benefit from the additional INSET day for this purpose, available until 2024/25.
National resources are available to help schools in the planning and delivery of INSET and these include resources intended to support ALN reform. These national resources can be found on Hwb.
