Has the Minister made any representations to Cabinet colleagues for the £150 million allocated to be spent over the next decade on electoral reform to be reallocated to the health service, given the funding pressure it faces?

Our collective priority remains protecting core public services wherever we can, as evidenced by our increased in year funding for the NHS, whilst delivering on our Programme for Government.

Investing in our democracy has a cost attached to it. The scrutiny role of the Senedd is vital to a healthy democracy and expert evidence is that good scrutiny, and an appropriate-sized Senedd, would generate better value for the public purse.
