When will residents who are eligible to receive the flu vaccination and the COVID-19 vaccination be offered the vaccinations at the same time, at the same location?
Health boards in Wales are responsible for the deployment of the Winter Respiratory Vaccination Programme. Co-administration of the COVID-19 and the flu vaccines is advised for all those eligible, where supply allows and where appropriate and operationally feasible to do so, whilst avoiding any delay to the administration of either vaccine.
The objective is to maximise uptake of both vaccines amongst all eligible groups; to protect individuals, communities and our health and care services this winter. Health boards are deploying flexible delivery models to do this.
