Will the Minister outline the total spend on the School Holiday Enrichment Programme for the current financial year?

A total of £4.85million was allocated to the School Holiday Enrichment Programme (SHEP) for 2023-24 financial year.
175 schemes were planned across all 22 local authorities in Wales during the latest summer holiday period, offering 11,000 places to learners each day that schemes ran (up from nearly 8000 in 2022-23). In addition, this year, in response to the cost of living crisis, the majority of local authorities offered learners attending schemes a ‘bag bwyd’ (a bag containing pantry staples) to take home.
Actual participation figures and total spend will be available later in the Autumn term.
