Will the Minister provide an update on sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and confirm the current life span on which commuted sums are calculated ?
On 13 July I published a Written Statement to announce the publication of the review of SuDS implementation, which can be found here. In the statement I outlined some of the main findings of the report and the actions I have tasked officials with taking forward as a priority, including the publication of an action programme this autumn.
At present the life span on which commuted sums are calculated vary from one local authority to another. I have asked officials to consider the specific recommendations of the review and to scope, cost and procure a national commuted sums approach, as an immediate priority.
