The Secretary of State for Wales has not been contacted to request a VAT reduction for hospitality businesses in 2023-24.
The Welsh Government is using the levers at our disposal to drive footfall to our hospitality businesses by revitalising our town centres and high streets and encouraging sustainable growth in high quality tourism.
In 2023-24, we are also providing over £140m to extend our non-domestic rates relief for retail, leisure and hospitality ratepayers. They will receive 75% non-domestic rates relief, capped at £110,000 per business across Wales.
