What action is the Welsh Government taking to support workers at Ffos-y-Fran coal mine to re-skill, up-skill, and secure new employment ahead of the closure of the site in November this year?

The Welsh Government is working closely with key partners such as Working Wales, Jobcentre Plus, local authorities and Wales TUC to ensure that workers at Ffos-y-Fran are provided with information, advice and guidance on support available to them. The ReAct Plus programme can provide a vocational training grant to help workers to gain the skills that employers are looking for as well as support with expenses such as travel to training courses.
