How has the Welsh Government advertised the Young Person’s Start-up Grant?

Answered by Minister for Economy | Answered on 21/08/2023

Part of our commitment to the Young Person's Guarantee, the Young Person's Start-up Grant is a revenue grant to support young people under 25 years of age to start a business. The grant particularly targets young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) to start their own business, create a social enterprise, become self-employed, a freelancer or social entrepreneur in Wales.

The Young Person’s Start-up Grant has been advertised through the Big Ideas Wales campaign and associated social media channels, including google ads and the Big Ideas Wales website.  Information has been provided to all relevant stakeholders, partners and community groups to reach NEETs and hard to reach young people, including all Welsh further and higher education intuitions through their network of Entrepreneurship Champions.
