What will the Government do to address the shortage of surveyors to help enforce the new building rules under the Building Safety Act?

The Wales Audit report ‘Cracks in the Foundations’, was received on 31 July 2023. The report provides a robust evidence base on the effectiveness of local authority building control services. A full response to each recommendation will be provided to Audit Wales within 15 working days of publication of the report. As part of the response process discussions with local authorities are ongoing.
