What steps has the Government taken to ensure that no child goes without food during the upcoming summer holidays?

This summer, there will be a wide range of holiday schemes available in each local authority area to support children and young people, including the Food and Fun scheme and our Playworks holiday project.
We have significantly increased our Food and Fun scheme this summer.
A total of 184 schemes are planned across Wales for this summer (up from 139 in 2022-23) offering just over 11,000 places to learners each day that schemes run (up from nearly 8,000 in 2022-23). The application window for this summer has now closed with a significant increase in take up compared to last year.
