In the past 12 months, how many woodland creation applications have been refused by Natural Resources Wales and what percentage is this of the total number of applications?

Applicants can discuss their woodland creation plans with Natural Resources Wales prior to submission to clarify any details. During the verification process changes can be communicated to the applicant and, where necessary, plans can be modified to ensure they meet the high standards of our schemes. During the 12 month period July 2022 – June 2023 a total of 76 woodland creation plans were submitted to Natural Resources Wales for verification with 3 being returned as unverified, this equates to under 4%.
