What advice has the the Minister provided to the Welsh Government with respects to publishing a list of Welsh legislation affected by the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023?

Answered by Counsel General and Minister for the Constitution | Answered on 11/07/2023

Towards the end of the parliamentary passage of the then Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill the original provisions in it to sunset automatically applicable retained EU law at the end of this year were removed and replaced with provisions to revoke only the instruments listed in a Schedule to the Bill, none of which constitute legislation made in Wales. In that changed context this work has no longer been a priority for the Welsh Government, bearing in mind it was only necessary because of the UK Government's proposed Bill in the first instance, and the focus has instead been on understanding the implications for Wales of the revised provisions of the legislation.
