What monitoring does the Minister undertake of the amount of time consultants spend in private practice compared with NHS work?

Welsh Government does not have a role in monitoring private practice work undertaken by consultants employed in NHS Wales, this would be for NHS organisations to consider as their employer.
I am aware however that there are clear provisions in the consultant contract and the job planning process regarding private practice work for consultants employed in the NHS, therefore employers should consider these as part of the job planning process.
