How much funding does the Interim Environmental Protection Assessor for Wales receive from the Welsh Government?

Since the creation of the role on 1 March 2023, the Interim Environmental Protection Assessor for Wales has received £45,000 per year from the Welsh Government.
Earlier this year, the Welsh Government undertook a review of the resourcing of the Interim Assessor. As a result of this review, the Government has committed to providing the Interim Assessor with an additional £75,000 of funding. This additional funding is intended to cover the appointment of a deputy Interim Environmental Protection Assessor for Wales as well as the procurement of external legal and drafting support.
