What grants are available to schools to allow pupils who are finalists to travel to attend the F1 in Schools world finals in Singapore?
The F1 in Schools programme is funded by the Welsh Government via the Engineering Education Scheme Wales (EESW). We have provided almost £1.5m in grant funding this financial year to support the delivery of seven valuable STEM initiatives across Wales, including EESW’s F1 in Schools programme. The primary objectives are to support and develop STEM enrichment activities, narrowing the attainment gap and encouraging the take-up of STEM subjects at GCSE and A-level for all learners.
As part of the F1 in Schools programme, teams are required to raise sponsorship and manage budgets to fund research, travel and accommodation costs.
