How will the recommendations of Baroness Rock's independent review of tenant farming in England inform Welsh Government policy?

As part of our work to develop the Sustainable Farming Scheme, Welsh Government has convened a Tenancy Working Group, with the aim of ensuring the Scheme is accessible and suitable for tenant farmers across Wales. The work of the group informed the recent government amendment to the Bill to provide Farm Business Tenancy tenants with access to similar dispute resolution mechanisms as Agricultural Holdings Act tenants.
We engage routinely with the UK Government on cross border matters, including agricultural tenancies due to the shared nature of our legislation.
