The Welsh in education workforce plan includes specific objectives and actions to improve the use of data to inform planning for increasing the number of Welsh-medium teachers, teaching assistants and leaders and to continue to develop our understanding of the workforce’s Welsh language skills to inform planning of professional learning.

We are working with local authorities to develop to common guidance on how they can use School Workforce Annual Census data to inform this work and set targets within their Welsh in Education Strategic Plans. The draft guidance will be shared with local authorities before the end of the summer term.
