Further to WQ88149, how is the zebra crossing on the A470 in Llanrwst between Parc yr Eryr and Llwyn Brithbeing considered as part of the current Conwy Valley WelTAG process, when the urban section of the town of Llanrwst has been excluded from that WelTAG process?

The Conwy County Borough Council Conwy Valley WelTAG study is currently considering the high level strategic priorities for active travel route options in the Conwy Valley as a whole.

When the Welsh Government receives the CCBC study, officials will be able to determine the priority active travel routes for cyclists and pedestrians in and around the town of Llanrwst and identify where the key drivers are for infrastructure improvements within the town. Detailed design of crossings and footway improvements can then be undertaken.

In addition to this Welsh Government officials are putting a business case to the National Transport Delivery Plan Board to include a new WelTAG study on the A470 between Glan Conwy and Betws y Coed.  If included, it will need to be prioritised alongside similar studies across Wales.
