How much has it cost to develop the new online booking tool for supply teachers, and approximately how much will it cost to maintain per year?

The contract for the Supply Teacher Booking platform has been awarded to Teacher Booker, which has a supply booking platform already established in other parts of the UK. As this is an existing model, the costs are for implementation across local authorities and schools, rather than development.

Procurement information in relation to the platform is commercially sensitive, however, I can confirm that the platform has been successfully procured within budget. The system will be made available to schools on a licence fee basis, which will include access to the platform and annual maintenance. The total cost of the model will be determined by the take-up of the platform, and additional costs to fund the central employment functions.

Discussions are ongoing with the WLGA on the provision of central employment functions for the platform and the additional funding that may be required to support this.
