Will the Minister liaise with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board to develop a plan that helps restore public confidence in north Wales vascular care?
I have kept members fully informed of the progress and developments relating to vascular services in BCUHB.
None of the reports have indicated that the centralisation of the vascular service was the wrong thing to do but the Health Board and I have acknowledged issues with its execution, which the Health Board are addressing alongside the recommendations of the various reports.
Although my officials meet regularly with the Health Board to discuss progress, I am keen to see what further assurance can be provided.I have asked my officials to consider this with the NHS Wales Executive and the Health Board and I will keep members informed.
