When does the Minister expect to see trains operating from Cardiff Central to Cardiff Bay?

Following the current Bay line transformation, services to Cardiff Bay will be fully incorporated into the wider network. The majority of work to transform the Core Valley Lines is scheduled for completion in 2024.
The first phase of Cardiff Crossrail will extend on the works to be completed as part of the Core Valleys Lines transformation, including the Bay line transformation, and is fully aligned with the South Wales Metro aspirations. This phase will deliver a new, direct tram-train link between Cardiff Central and Cardiff Bay.
