What discussions has the Welsh Government had with bus service operators and representative groups following the announcement of the bus emergency scheme coming to a close?

Updates on the situation have been provided via joint statements from Welsh Government, TfW, WLGA, Association of Transport Co-ordinating Officers (ATCO), Confederation of Passenger Transport and Coach and Bus Association Cymru on 10 February and 31 March: https://www.gov.wales/joint-statement-bus-emergency-scheme-0 .

The urgent work currently being undertaken by the Regional Planning Teams is to assess and understand the likely impact on our bus networks, which will include industry jobs, when the Bus Emergency Scheme comes to an end.

Alongside the Regional Planning Teams, I am meeting key partners, including bus operators, on a weekly basis given the critical nature of the timelines and the urgent work that will continue to be undertaken over the coming days and weeks.
