What grants are available for schoolchildren in North Wales to visit the Senedd in Cardiff Bay?
Financial support is available to schools and colleges taking part in inbound educational visits.. This subsidy which is set at £1 per mile is available to schools and colleges who travel from a radius of 10miles or more from the Senedd building, who participate in a full education session which last between an hour and a half and two hours, and includes an activity in the Education Centre. This subsidy is not available to schools and colleges visiting the Senedd, or taking part in a tour of the building without receiving the full education session.
The Engagement Service are currently reviewing the booking process ahead of the release of the next set of available slots for the next academic year (from September 2024), which will be released in May 2024. and will also be engaging external stakeholders on the subsidy itself.
