What conversations has the Minister had with representatives from animal shelters concerning the increased rate of pets being given away?

Through the Animal Welfare Network Wales and Companion Animal Welfare Group Wales, officials are in discussion with Third Sector organisations, including the PDSA, Dogs Trust and Cats Protection to monitor the current situation. My officials have also recently contributed to discussion of related issues at the Pets Advertising Advisory Group, including the cost-of-living crisis and keeping pets and owners together.
