What financial support is the Welsh Government providing towards the work and membership of the Net Zero by 2035 Challenge Group?
The costs in 2022/23 will be met from the Welsh Government’s existing contribution to the funding of the WCPP and are estimated at £42,000. I am awaiting advice on the costs for 2023/24.
All members of the group are giving their time freely, with only out-of-pocket costs, such as travel to physical meetings reimbursed. Costs to date have been restricted to the Secretariat and the research of the Wales Centre for Public Policy.
This work is being carried out in collaboration with Sian Gwenllian MS, the Plaid Cymru designated member, as part of the Co-operation Agreement between the Welsh Government and Plaid Cymru.
