What action is the Welsh Government taking to ensure high quality and comprehensive cover of spirometry across Wales?

The provision of spirometry in the community was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic due to the need to introduce enhanced infection prevention controls. I set out in the Quality Statement for Respiratory Disease, on 30 November, my expectation that health boards provide spirometry to patients over the age of twelve in primary or community care. My officials are currently working with NHS bodies to determine their local plans to provide spirometry services.
