What index does the Welsh Government propose to use in establishing the current real terms value of NHS wages in 2008 as part of its commitment to the restoration of pay levels in the NHS as set out in its recent statement on NHS pay award enhancement for 2022-2023?

If the enhanced pay offer for 2022/23 is accepted then the next step will be to look at this commitment and to work in social partnership to understand what the practical arrangements would look like to meet this aim, this would include fully considering the financial situation as well as what index could be considered.
