Will the Minister indicate whether the 1989 Code of Practice on Conservation, Access and Recreation, which was made under the Water Act 1989 and approved by SI 1989/1152 in relation to both England and Wales, is the current code in relation to Wales?

The 1989 Code of Practice on Conservation, Access and Recreation and associated Water and Sewerage (Conservation, Access and Recreation) (Code of Practice) Order 1989 predates devolution. In order to provide a full and accurate response, I have asked my officials to liaise with Natural Resources Wales (NRW). I will write to the member to provide a response to all three Written Questions as soon as this assessment has been completed.
