Will the Government share any information that the Welsh Government collects or holds that assesses the safety of NHS estate buildings on an annual basis?
NHS Shared Services Partnership – Specialist Estate Services (NWSSP-SES) collect estates performance and facilities data for Welsh Government on an annual basis for the previous year. The 2021-22 Estates Facilities Performance Management System dashboard report is attached. The dashboard report focuses on the key estates performance data. A detailed supplementary data report is also shared with NHS organisations for benchmarking purchases either across an individual health board’s estate or across organisations.
Work is ongoing before next year’s report to identify the main risks across the NHS Wales estate and to improve data consistency across organisations. This work is being taken forward by officials, NWSSP-SES and the NHS Wales Finance Delivery Unit. It is essential that any funding is prioritised and targeted towards where it will make the most difference given the pressures on capital funding.
