What discussions has the Welsh Government had with the Welsh Rugby Union regarding the consultation into mixed rugby rules in under 13s?

My officials are in regular dialogue with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) in relation to grassroots rugby, including the proposed changes to mixed rugby. I understand the WRU, following representations about the previous process, decided to undertake an additional 3-month consultation last May. They also took professional and academic advice on the physiological aspects and risks of girls’ participation in mixed sport. I understand that the WRU is due to publish its plans for the girls’ game shortly.
