What action is the Welsh Government taking to ensure that landlords and tenants are able to obtain a court decision on a housing-related matter in a timely manner?

The Welsh Government works with His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunal Service to ensure that the courts are kept up to date with all the information necessary to deal with housing-related matters in Wales. In addition, and in the light of the implementation of the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, we have recently published guidance for landlords on the possession action process and are in the process of publishing similar guidance for contract-holders. However, the operation of courts is not devolved matter and there are no specific actions that we can take in relation to timeliness or otherwise of court decisions.
