Will it be necessary for the Welsh Government to commit additional funds this year, beyond that which has already been pledged, in order to continue the rollout of universal free school meals and, if so, how much is this estimated to be?

We have made £260m funding available to deliver universal primary free school meals during the Co-operation Agreement lifetime. This financial year, we have made revenue and capital funding available totalling £75m and do not anticipate it being necessary to commit additional funds above this figure.

This work is being carried out in collaboration with Siân Gwenllian MS, the Plaid Cymru lead designated member, as part of the Co-operation Agreement between the Welsh Government and Plaid Cymru.
