What would be the cost of digging a tunnel to provide a third crossing of the Menai Straits?

The WelTAG stage 2 approximate costs, excluding the new highway links required outside the tunnel, would have been in the region of £495m to £627m (at 2017 prices and including VAT). At 2022 prices, the cost of the tunnel alone could be in the region of £645m to £815m including VAT but excluding any future inflation.
