Will the Minister provide a breakdown of how much energy was produced annually by renewable energy projects in Wales every year for the last 10 years?

Answered by Minister for Climate Change | Answered on 17/11/2022

Our annual Energy Generation in Wales details the total renewable energy produced in Wales over the past many years. The latest published report Energy Generation in Wales 2020 notes that Wales generated an estimated 10 terawatt-hours (TWh) of energy from a range of renewables including biomass heat, biomass electricity and CHP, solar PV, onshore and offshore wind as well as other renewables. We are due to publish our 2021 report within the next few weeks.

Below you will find a breakdown of the total renewable energy generated in Wales from 2011-2020.
