How long after a COVID-19 booster should an individual expect their COVID-pass for international travel to be updated?
In normal circumstances the NHS COVID pass is updated within 24 hours of individuals receiving a vaccination. However, at the current time updates to the COVID certification system (or NHS COVID pass) following booster vaccination in this autumn’s programme will not occur until around the 14 November.
The autumn booster campaign uses new vaccination products to ensure the best possible defence against COVID-19. Additional technical work is now required to ensure these new products can be accurately shown in an individual’s vaccination record. This work is being progressed at pace with Welsh delivery partners and the UK Government, but there has been a need to prioritise the delivery of vaccinations to the most vulnerable in society first.
