What is the Minister doing to improve and enhance sporting facilities in Brecon and Radnorshire?

Answered by Deputy Minister for Arts and Sport, and Chief Whip | Answered on 08/11/2022

The Welsh Government has committed £24m in capital funding over the next three years (2022-25) to Sport Wales to develop facilities across Wales. Investing in sporting facilities, both elite and grassroots, is a commitment in our Programme for Government, highlighting the important link between increasing participation and the health and wellbeing of our nation.

In 2021-22 Sport Wales supported 37 projects across Powys with a total investment of £113,508 through the Be Active Wales Fund. This is in addition to funding of £161,398 for capital projects such as the new Pump Track near Talybont-on-Usk and the resurfacing of tennis courts in Builth Wells.
