What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the impact of the use of transient elastography in primary care on improving early detection of liver disease?

Tackling the harms associated with alcohol use is a key part of our substance misuse agenda. The overall aim of our Substance Misuse Delivery Plan 2019-22, which was updated in response to Covid-19, is to ensure that people in Wales are aware of the dangers and the impact of substance misuse and to know where they can seek information, help and support.  Welsh Government are working with partners, to raise awareness with health professionals and the public, of harms associated with risky levels of alcohol consumption.

The Alcohol-Related Brain Damage Treatment Framework is a key development and is designed for health and social care providers to provide guidance on how they should respond to those effected by alcohol-related brain damage.

For the assessment of the impact of the use of transient elastography I refer to my response to WQ86300.
