Will the Welsh Government outline how it scrutinises the performance of Rent Smart Wales?
My officials meet with Rent Smart Wales (RSW) on a bi-weekly basis to discuss progress and share information.
Officials also attend the RSW Stakeholder Group and Advisory Group, which is made up of representatives from across the private rented sector, and senior local authority housing officials, respectively. These groups review and feedback on RSW’s performance, and act as a sounding board for policy changes.
Welsh Government has previously commissioned an independent evaluation of the implementation and delivery of RSW. The final report was published in June 2018.: Evaluation of Rent Smart Wales: Implementation and Delivery | GOV.WALES
We will be commissioning a new evaluation of RSW next year.
