Will the Minister outline the financial assistance available to local authorities and other public sector organisations in Wales to transition their vehicle fleets to electric vehicles?
Last year we provided £1.4 million to organisations in the public sector to support their fleet transition. This included funding to enable the purchase of electric vehicles and the infrastructure required to charge them.
Through the Energy Service, the Welsh Government provides technical and financial support to help local authorities and other public organisations deliver their decarbonisation plans. This includes fleet reviews to support investment decisions on the transition to electric vehicles.
We have provided over 35 fleet reviews for organisations across the public sector.
