What steps is the Welsh Government taking to ensure a remediation programme takes place at Maendy Quarry?

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is the regulatory body responsible for identifying whether there is a requirement for remediation at this site. My officials have liaised with the council and I understand that, based on the available information concerning potential pollution risks, they do not currently intend to inspect or remediate the site under Part IIA of Environmental Protection Act 1990.
