What representations will the Minister make to Audit Wales and the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales regarding claims that both organisations threatened to fire and re-hire staff, given the Welsh Government's well-established view that such threats are unacceptable in the Welsh devolved public sector?

In regard to the general issue of employment practices, the Welsh Government expects all bodies working in the Welsh public service to uphold the highest standards and working arrangements. The Welsh Government is fundamentally committed to the principles of fair work and has been very clear that ‘fire and re-hire’ practices in any organisation or business are unacceptable. Social partnership and meaningful engagement with recognised trade unions are the means for resolving challenging issues.

In regard to the specific allegations, oversight of the employment practices of both Audit Wales and the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales rests with the Senedd, and it will be for that institution to consider what representations it wishes to make in response to the claims made against both organisations.
