What discussions has the Minister had with stakeholders regarding the availability of local rail services to Tregaron to ensure that people can visit the National Eisteddfod?

Transport for Wales is in contact with the National Eisteddfod organisers to ensure plans are in place to enable visitors to use public transport to attend the event. Additional commercial bus services have been arranged for the week to connect Aberystwyth train station and the Maes. Commercial bus services will also operate from Aberaeron and Lampeter to the Maes. Traws Cymru services will be in operation as normal.

Aslef has announced industrial action on 30 July, the first day of the National Eisteddfod. Transport for Wales staff are not involved but services will be affected by strike action at other train operating companies. Transport for Wales is advising passengers travelling to the National Eisteddfod on 30 July to plan ahead and consider how they will make that journey.
