What action is the Minister taking to monitor whether any local authority in Wales is being found guilty of maladministration in judicial reviews?

Answered by Minister for Finance and Local Government | Answered on 21/07/2022

As per the response given to WQ85753, whilst there is a need to ensure people across Wales receive the public services they need, there is also a need to ensure local democratic processes are respected wherever possible.

The Welsh Government regularly engages with the Auditor General for Wales and the Public Services Ombudsmen for Wales to discuss their work, including any emerging concerns in relation to Wales’ local authorities.
