How is the Welsh Government engaging with the Turing scheme?
Answered by Minister for Education and the Welsh Language | Answered on 19/07/2022
The Welsh Government has engaged with the Turing Scheme in order to try and mitigate the damage to education providers in Wales, as a result of the UK Government’s imposition of the scheme on a UK-wide basis, ignoring devolution and the specific needs of learners and education providers in Wales. Alongside working closely with stakeholders, Welsh Government officials attend the UK Government Department for Education’s Erasmus+ and Turing Assurance Board, which takes place every six weeks. Welsh Government officials also attend the Turing Scheme Project Assessment Boards.
