The Welsh Government has not yet had discussions with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) regarding its decision to grant a trademark to the words cariad and hiraeth.
The Welsh Language Commissioner’s office has been in correspondence with the IPO and have now received a response. The Commissioner’s office will continue its discussions with the IPO on this matter and will inform us of the outcomes.
