What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the risks posed from the rise in the number of aesthetic procedures including botox and dermal filler treatments being carried out by non-medically trained individuals?

We are currently focusing on introducing licensing arrangements for the four designated special procedures set out in the Public Health (Wales) Act 2017 - tattooing, body piercing, acupuncture and electrolysis. Once they are introduced, we will consider adding other cosmetic procedures to the scheme, which would involve a full consultation process and consideration of the evidence.
