Will the Welsh Government commit to ensuring that perinatal mental health is a key priority in the next mental health strategy?

Answered by Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing | Answered on 23/06/2022

We are committed to ensuring that perinatal mental health continues to be a priority in the successor to Together for Mental Health.

Welsh Government policy officials will be considering the findings from the independent evaluation of the strategy which will report later this year. The evaluation is one element of our wider approach to inform our future plans, which will include engaging with stakeholders and services users.  The perinatal mental health network will also be engaged as part of this process to ensure a fully inclusive approach to the development of our future strategy.
