Will the Welsh Government provide an update on its fly-tipping strategy?
We have consulted on a new Litter and Fly-tipping Prevention Plan. As part of the process, we sought views on whether fly-tipping and litter should be combined within one plan. Whilst we recognise there are differences between the two offences, we believe this will ensure a co-ordinated approach, and the proposal was widely supported.
My officials are currently revising the plan to incorporate relevant feedback and suggestions we received from partner organisations during the consultation. I will announce a date for publication of the plan in due course. We want to ensure the plan delivers the best possible outcomes for the environment and communities.
