Will the Minister outline what consideration has been given to re-introducing the right-to-buy scheme in Wales to support greater numbers of individuals and families purchase their own home?

The Welsh Government abolished the right to buy scheme in Wales to preserve social housing for people who need it. Local authorities and housing associations are also now able to invest in new social homes without the risk of those homes having to be sold. While there are no plans to reintroduce the right to buy in Wales, the Welsh Government provides funding for a number of home ownership schemes for people who would like to own their own home but need financial assistance to be able to do so. More information on these schemes is available on the Your Home in Wales website at https://gov.wales/your-home-in-wales.
