Do the Welsh Government have plans to reinstate the T9 bus service given the increased passenger numbers at Cardiff Airport and, if so, when will this be reinstated?
We continue to closely monitor the demand for public transport links to Cardiff International Airport and remain committed to working with partners to improve links to the Airport for passengers and employees where there is clear evidence of demand.
Whilst the T9 Cardiff Airport Express service remains suspended due to reduced passenger demand we have reinstated the 905 shuttle bus service which connects Cardiff International Airport with Rhoose Station hourly throughout the day, seven days per week. At Rhoose Station, passengers can then connect with regular rail services on the Vale of Glamorgan line to Cardiff Central and Bridgend.
Passengers can purchase a combined rail / bus ticket to Cardiff Airport from any station on the National Rail Network using the 905 shuttle bus. New Adventure Travel are also operating an hourly bus service linking Cardiff International Airport to Cardiff city centre via Barry and Cardiff Bay.
